FinanceFinance
Your personal finances and each of your companies, in one app.
Finance is an installable finance app (PWA) for individuals and companies, built by Next as its own product and already in production. The screens in this case study come from a demo account in the name of Marina Andrade, a fictional person, and all the amounts are made up.

A workspace for each company
Finance serves a person and their companies in the same app. Each company has its own workspace, and whoever joins it gets a role: owner, admin, member or reader. Switching workspaces happens in the selector at the top of the screen, next to the current user’s role.

What’s inside
- Accounts and cards, and transactions with CSV import and PDF export.
- Fixed expenses and installments.
- Purchases with lists and NFC-e import through the receipt’s QR code.
- Customers, billing and approvals.
- Vehicles with the FIPE table and maintenance, real estate and loans.
- Investments in CDB, LCI/LCA and Tesouro, with CDI, IPCA and SELIC.
- Categories with monthly limits, reports and a map of spending by location.
The home dashboard is customizable and shows a financial health score from 0 to 100. Search opens with ⌘K, and the app has light and dark themes.

Technical decisions
The interface uses Next.js 16, React 19 and TypeScript, with Tailwind 4. Data lives in Supabase with Row Level Security: each query goes through a rule in the database itself, which checks who the record belongs to before returning it. Charts use Recharts and the spending map uses Leaflet. The app also reads PDF files and uses AI models from Gemini and OpenAI.

Where it stands today
Finance is in production at financeiro.nextestudios.com. Installed as a PWA, it opens on a phone like an app, with a bottom navigation bar for the most-used screens.
